Donovan leads L.A. to 4-0 win over Seattle

05/08/2010 - Seattle, WA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Landon Donovan had a goal and three assists, as the Los Angeles Galaxy defeated Seattle Sounders FC 4-0 on Saturday at Qwest Field to extend its season-opening unbeaten streak to eight matches.

Donovan assisted on goals by Jovan Kirovski, Omar Gonzalez and Todd Dunivant - who all scored their first of the season - then added his own to secure L.A.'s seventh win of the season.

Kirovski scored the opener in the 22nd minute, and the Galaxy broke the match open after half. Gonzalez scored seven minutes after the break, and Dunivant pushed the Galaxy's lead to three goals in the 57th minute.

Donovan, who leads MLS with nine assists, capped the scoring in the 67th.

L.A. goalie Donovan Ricketts made four saves for his sixth shutout.

Seattle (2-3-3) lost for the second time in five home matches, and dropped 12 points behind L.A. (7-0-1) in the Western Conference.

Los Angeles hosts Toronto FC on May 15, when Seattle visits Red Bull New York.
